Black Opal
The defining feature of opal is its “play of color,” which changes depending on how light hits it. It is a mysterious phenomenon caused by the regular arrangement of opal particles and the moisture contained in the stone. Brilliant flashes of red, orange, yellow, green, and blue blend together in intricate layers. The reason it is said to be “a gemstone that enhances creativity” may be that its many faces spark inspiration.
